Each year we look to leaders whose unswerving commitment, innovative thinking and indomitable spirit are helping all children reach their fullest potential.
As part of The McGraw-Hill Companies' support for education, the Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Prize in Education was established in 1988 to mark the corporation's 100th anniversary and to honor its Chairman Emeritus for his lifelong commitment to education.
This year we extended our search into the business community, an increasingly valuable partner in the education of our children. Each of our 2000 McGraw Prize winners has played a major role in improving student performance by creating and implementing programs centered on high standards and accountability. Each has also demonstrated the powerful results that partnering with the broader community can achieve.
